Technology in New ConstructionVARtek will guide you through all phases of new construction projects
|
Planning and DesignWith our expertise in designing and planning robust K–12 IT systems, VARtek will work with your team of planners, architects, and builders to make sure that the early stages account for the seamless integration of first-class technology. Technology should also be properly designed upfront, scoped, budgeted, and held accountable throughout all phases. |
Ground BreakingJust about the time shovels are hitting dirt, VARtek will be designing the specifics for your existing and new technology program. This includes network infrastructure, wireless capabilities, hardware requirements, and curriculum. In addition, it will be crucial to work in conjunction with other technology systems to ensure compatibility with all major school functions. |
Building and ConstructionVARtek will work side-by-side with contractors and builders to manage the proper installation of all core technology components. VARtek will monitor quality control to ensure that there are no weak links anywhere in the system. We will also handle the moving and reconfiguration of existing components, bridging the gap between new and existing technology. |
Opening CeremonyWe’ll be right there with you as you cut the ribbon, proud to show off your new technology program. From here on, we’ll continue to manage your IT program and support a continued introduction of technology innovation and managed and controlled cost. This new foundation will deliver curriculum that drives student achievement and allow for expansion as new technologies are introduced. |
Do you have the right transition team in place?
Implementing a technology program in a new building is a monumental task, much more complicated than even the most experienced internal IT staff can handle. If your existing IT team is already overextended or underqualified with the day-to-day management of technology, then increasing their level of responsibility to manage a transition to new facilities is setting them up to fail. Any failure to bridge the gap between new and existing technology will result in a seriously negative impact on curriculum and embarrassment to the district.
